Having several days or weeks to prepare a presentation can be nerve-racking enough.  But do you feel panic-stricken if you are called upon to speak in public at a moment's notice with no preparation?

The workshop aims to help you overcome your fear of making impromptu speeches.  It will focus on (1) learning to think and speak on your feet, (2) being creative when speaking off the cuff, (3) delivering with confidence.  You will also learn and practice an effective technique for quickly preparing short speeches.

David T Jones trained as a zoologist, and studies rainforest ecology. In 1996, while between research jobs, he found temporary work as a trainer. This developed into an enjoyable second career, with David now spending up to half his time writing and presenting seminars and training courses for public and private sector clients. He teaches a range of transferable skills but is most passionate about helping people to improve their public speaking.

David has won numerous public speaking awards.  He was the Toastmasters' UK & Ireland Impromptu Speech champion in 2004 and 2008, and runner-up in 2006. He is also a frequent after-dinner speaker.
